Intellectual property

The intellectual property rights over the content (including logos, graphics, trademarks, images, videos, text, as well as the overall appearance of the website) and all materials related to the Event belong to the PCO – Ralcom Exhibitions SRL. Event participants and website visitors are prohibited from copying, altering, modifying, storing, publishing, transferring, selling, or distributing the content displayed on the website for commercial purposes. Any use, reproduction, or exploitation of the content available on the website or of materials related to the Event without the prior, written, and explicit consent of the PCO – Ralcom Exhibitions SRL constitutes an infringement of intellectual property rights and is subject to Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights.

Use of Image / Assignment of Rights

For the purposes of promotional and medical education campaigns, the Organizers require the participant to grant the assignment of their economic rights and related rights to their image, as well as the participant’s consent that any intellectual property rights and ownership rights over the materials and data resulting from video recordings, photographs, or online broadcasts shall remain the property of the Organizers.

In this regard, by registering for the event and selecting the consent options related to the PCO company’s policies, the participant gives their explicit and unequivocal consent to the assignment of their economic rights and related rights to their image.

Furthermore, the participant expressly agrees to assign their economic rights and related rights to their image to the Organizers for the purpose of promoting the Event through any means selected by them (including publications, brochures, mass media, social media, the PCO website, the organizing scientific society’s website, the Event website, the internet, etc.), without requiring any additional prior or subsequent authorization from the participant. This assignment of rights arising from the participant’s image is granted free of charge and for an unlimited duration. By registering for and participating in the Event, the participant also acknowledges and agrees that any images, photographs, or video recordings of their person captured by the Organizers during the Event, whether held in a physical or online format, may be broadcast during the Event and subsequently used for promotional purposes. In this context, any video recordings, live broadcasts, photographs, or similar materials related to the participant’s image produced in connection with the Event shall remain the property of the Organizers and may be used by them in accordance with the purpose stated in this agreement. Accordingly, all intellectual property rights and ownership rights over the materials and data resulting from video recordings, photographs, or online transmissions shall remain with the rights holder, namely the Organizers. Should the participant refuse the processing of the personal data mentioned above, given their essential and mandatory nature for the organization and conduct of the Event, such refusal shall entitle the Organizers to restrict the participant’s access to the Event.

Limitation of Liability

The Organizers and the PCO company – Ralcom Exhibitions SRL shall not be held liable for any losses, injuries, or material damages incurred during the Event, regardless of their cause, provided that such losses are not the result of fault or negligence on the part of the Organizers or Ralcom Exhibitions SRL. If, due to circumstances beyond the control or will of the Organizers, or circumstances that cannot be reasonably controlled (including pandemics, acts of terrorism, natural disasters, war, strikes, legal restrictions, power outages, or internet connectivity failures during the Event), the date, venue, or scientific program of the Event is modified, or the Event is cancelled, the Organizers undertake, where possible, to reschedule the announced activities or to identify an alternative venue. However, they shall not be held liable for any costs, damages, or additional expenses incurred by registered participants. If, for objective and justified reasons, and with prior written notification to participants, the Organizers decide to modify the announced structure of the Event (including any organizational details), they shall not be responsible for transportation, accommodation, or any other costs already incurred by participants. The Organizers reserve the right, at any time, to establish additional rules and regulations (with immediate effect) regarding any aspect of the Event, with the aim of ensuring its proper organization. In this regard, registered participants are obliged to comply with and observe such rules. Any additions or changes related to the organization of the Event will be communicated to participants in a timely manner.

Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions constitute the agreement between the website users / participants and the PCO company – Ralcom Exhibitions SRL. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Romanian law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with the breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be settled in accordance with Romanian law. Such disputes may be resolved amicably, through mediation, or by referral to the competent courts, namely the courts of Bucharest, Romania.
